    Former IPS officer Kiran Bedi's induction into the BJP and RBI governor Raghuram Rajan cutting the Repo Rate from 8 to 7.75% and the ripple effects of this rate cut are some stories reported in most papers today.

    "BJP AIMS Kiran missile at kejri" says the Mail Today while the Times of India writes "Kiran Bedi Joins BJP, likely to be Party's CM choice."

    " A little cut is a big deal for Markets- Rajan Surprise-cuts repo 25 basis points, signals low rate regime sensex surges 729 points" says the Indian Express.

    The Pioneer writes that in a significant move, the national green tribunal has prohibited the cultivation of edible crops on floodplains of the Yamuna saying that the vegetables grown here were highly contaminated and their consumption could lead to cancer.

    The Tribune writes that a special investigation team consituted by the Haryana Lokayukta has unearthed a  10,618 crore rupee tax evasion scam in the excise and taxation dept.

     "Government might allow FIR's online over train crimes", writes the Asian Age. The Times of India reports that The mega merger plan of five parties into a grand Janata Parivar seems to have hit rough weather with Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav appearing less keen than others on the immediate amalgamation of the Mandal outfits.

    And finally, under the heading "UN chief gets yoga lessons" the Times of India carries a picture of UN senior advisor Vijay Nambiar giving UN Secretory General Ban ki Moon his first yoga lesson, during his Delhi visit.
