Yesterday's renewed gun battle and suicide bombing in Sri Lanka, are given top priority by newspaper this morning:- "15 dead as tips lead Lanka forces to Islamist hideout", headlines Sunday Times. The Asian Age writes, "15 die in raid, including the 3 who detonated explosives in a jihadist hideout near the eastern town of Kalmunai.

The other major story is of at least 20 thousand passengers being stranded for hours at domestic and overseas airports on Saturday. The Hindustan Times reports that the software that runs Air India's main computer server developed a technical glitch that led to the delay of about 155 flights, that cascading effect of which continued till the evening.

BJP releasing its manifesto, Air Force giving proof of striking down Pakistan's F-16 and UK court rejecting Mallya's plea against extradition are some of the stories dominating the papers today.

"BJP manifesto focusses on security, Article 370," writes the Hindustan Times while The Asian Age headlines, "BJP woos farmers, traders; pledges muscular nationalism; firm on NRC," adding, "Manifesto tagline 'Sankalpit Bharat, Sashakt Bharat', eyes five trillion dollar economy by 2025".

The Pioneer says, "Sashakt Bharat, BJP's Sankalp," while the same paper also gives space to Congress' reaction in its headline, "Jhansa patra, mocks Congress."

The Times of India quotes the Supreme Court in its headline, "Count VVPAT slips of 5 booths in each assembly seat."

After a US report that stated that no Pakistani F-16 was struck down by Indian Air Force, the IAF presents proof for doing so. The Tribune writes, " 'Credible proof' of downing F-16, says IAF," adding, "Backs its claim with radar images," while The Hindu reports, "Indian Air Force presents 'proof' to show F-16 was shot down."

A UK High Court rejecting Mallya's plea against his extradition is also widely noticed across dailies. The Indian Express writes, "Mallya loses moves closer to extradition,".

At 17.3 per cent, pre-poll currency growth sees one of the highest jumps in recent times.  The Economic Times headlines, "In Poll Season, Phir Ek Baar, Cash Hai Sarkaar."

While population of 18 to 19 age group has swelled since 2014, current electoral rolls show a sharp drop in first-time voters.  The Mail Today writes, "Capital's first time voters may miss poll bus."

The Pioneer leads with voters' priorities ahead of General Elections due in less than two weeks. Citing a survey conducted by the Association for Democratic Reforms, the paper writes "Job hogs voters' minds" as the key issue in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Chhattisgarh.

"Besides polls, weather too turns up heat on voters" headlines the Pioneer. Quoting the India Meteorological Department, the paper says that average maximum temperatures from April to June are likely to be warmer by half a degree celsius in Central and Northwest India.

The Times of India's top headline reads "Supreme Court clears path for pension to rise manifold for employees in all firms".
