Commenting on the absence of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and former Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yedyurappa at the meet, the Mail Today writes " Modi-Yeddi absence only dissonant note in party's unity chorus".
The decision of an Ahmedabad court to send suspended Gujarat IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt into judicial custody after rejecting demands for a police remand is highlighted in all the papers. "Bhatt goes to jail, wife sees threat to his life from 'police under CM'" reports the Indian Express.
The Hindustan Times, the Indian Express and the Hindu report that the Central Vigilance Commission and the Central Bureau of Investigation have opposed Team Anna's proposal to bring them under the control of the proposed Lokpal but would like their chiefs to be made members of the anti-graft watchdog.

In international news, the death sentence handed out to Mumtaz Qadri for assassinating Salman Taseer, the governor of Pakistan's Punjab province is widely covered. The Hindu reports that Qadri's supporters have announced rewards for killing the judge who gave the verdict.

Hyderabad is for the people born and settled here. People from all the regions including Telangana have exploited Hyderabad resources. It is Hyderabadis who are suffering due to all these agitations. We are not able to send our children to schools, provide treatment for the sick and even transportation is a problem. We hyderabadi's strongly demand separate Hyderabad. No KTR or KD can dictate Hyderabad people. Don't under-estimate the patience of Hyderabadis
