Japan's economy makes surprise fall into recession

The endorsement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's concerns on black money by the leaders of the G 20 countries at Brisbane is the lead in most papers. "India scores, G20 backs Modi on black money : Member countries agree to exchange info, amend global tax rules".
Prime Minister Modi's meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel on the sidelines of the G 20 meeting is keenly noticed in the press specially in the backdrop of the government deciding to drop German as a third language in the Kendriya Vidyalayas. "Merkel raises issue of German language in KVs, Modi takes note" reports the Indian Express.
The other development at the G 20 which is highlighted in all the papers is the early departure of Russian President Vladimir Putin. "Putin cites 'need to sleep' leaves G 20 summit early" reports the Times of India. The papers write that this happened amidst strong criticism of Russia's role in the Ukarainian crisis.
Political developments ahead of the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir are tracked by most papers. "Mehboob Beg quits National Conference, supports PDP" reports the Tribune. The Times of India quotes the BJP as saying "Will do what Kashmiris want on Article 370".
