Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally in Odisha to mark the completion of four years of his government dominates front page headlines. "From kala dhan to jan dhan in 4 years; PM Modi sets tone for 2019 poll on anniversary" reports the DNA. The Times of India quotes the Prime Minister as saying "Corrupt running scared, uniting agaisnt BJP". On Rahul Gandhi's retort to the Prime Minister, the Pioneer observes "RaGa flunks PM for work, bestows A+ for slogans".
The CBSE Class 12 results declared yesterday are prominently noticed on the front pages.Taking note of the topper Meghana Srivastava's result, the Times of India writes "499/500 : Noida girl takes it to another mark closer to 100%". The Tribune reports "12,737 students score 95% or above". On the impact these results can have on university admissions this year, The Hindustan Times writes "Class 12 results set to push up Delhi University's cut-offs".
The Indian Express has published an interview with Home Minister Rajnath Singh on its front page. The paper quotes the Minister as saying "If Pak ready for talks, show initiative, India won't say no".
The BSP national executive meeting held in Lucknow is widely noticed in the press. The Hindustan Times quotes BSP Chief Mayawati as saying "Ready for tie-ups if given fair share of seats". Signalling a strategic political posturing, the Asian Age writes "BSP leaders want Maya to be Opposition PM candidate".
Many papers take note of a report submitted by the Central Medical Team which had looked into the Nipah virus cases in Kerala. The DNA quotes a report as saying "Bats not primary source of Kerala Nipah crisis".
In an interesting story on the dairy industry in India captioned "Milking the opportunities" the Financial Express writes "In recent times, value added dairy products have been gaining traction among customers due to apparent changes in demographic and dietary patterns".
