The Indian Express writes that the Saharsa-Patna train was not scheduled to stop at the Dhamara ghat station, which had no overbridge. The pilgrims had alighted from two trains and were rushing to the nearby Katyayani Temple.

reports the 'Coalgate Scandal' has stormed back into the spot light with the Coal Ministry acknowledging that crucial files relating to the controversial allocations may have been lost for good.
