Best Unsung Books of 2010 | Art Beat | PBS NewsHour | PBS

Conversation: Best Unsung Books of 2010 | Art Beat | PBS NewsHour | PBS: "Over the last year, as the publishing industry tried to grapple with the uncertainty brought on by monumental evolution in media and technology, publishers fell back on some sure-fire blockbusters. Jonathan Franzen's 'Freedom', the author's first book in nine years, got so much attention that it received backlash for all its attention. Movie stars James Franco and Zack Galifianakis could be seen shilling for the novels Super Sad True Love Story and Lowboy in online book trailers. For the first time in a decade, the New Yorker published a list of twenty authors to watch under forty, many of them already well-known."
