AN OVERVIEW OF TODAY'S NEWSPAPERS:-
RBI announcements on GDP forecast and interest rates dominate the front pages. The Tribune writes "RBI cuts growth forecast to 5% ; Leaves repo rate unchanged at 5.15%; sees inflation rising in near term".

All the papers take note of the horrific violence perpetrated on a gang-rape survivor in Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh. The Times of India states "Thrashed, stabbed, set ablaze, rape survivor runs for help in a ball of fire".

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's comments on the 1984 anti-Sikh riots gets front page coverage in the Asian Age. The paper writes "Rao, not Rajiv to blame for 1984 riots, says Manmohan".

And finally...we'll see postmen in a new role. The Hindu's Business Line states "India Post Payments Bank to use postmen and Grameen Dak Sevakas to sell insurance".
