Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's visit to India is prominently noticed on the front pages. On his meeting with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, the Tribune reports "India - China play down border row". The Asian Age highlights Prime Minister Narendra Modi's comments at a book release function and quotes him as saying "To take on China, focus on skill, scale and speed".

Scorching temperatures and power woes in the Capital Delhi get front page attention in the press. On Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung's decision to cut power supply to malls after 10 pm, the Hindustan Times writes "Delhi powerless, Jung takes austerity steps".

On developments within the Aam Admi Party, the Indian Express writes "Kejriwal announces Mission Vistaar : says national executive will be rejigged which will then elect political affairs committee".

All the papers have published photographs of a smiling Chandrababu Naidu as he took oath as the first Chief Minister of the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh. The Times of India writes "Naidu signs 4 files at swearing-in : New panel on women's SHGs, farmer loans".

The Indian Express in a special front page story reports that to curb the possibility of corruption in defence deals, the Defence Ministry has decided that defence purchases above 10 Lakh rupees will be sourced only through an e-platform.

The Financial Express reports that the government has decided to set a maximum support price for at least 10 minor forest produce to provide remunerative prices to tribals.

And finally, we all know how mud packs are used in the beauty business but here is news of its role in a new kind of beautifying process. The Pioneer reports that it will now be used to restore the white sheen of the marble used in the Taj Mahal.
