Campaigning for Lok Sabha elections, which came to a close yesterday is reported by all dailies. 'Campaign ends, battle continues' is the Hindustan Times headline, adding that 'Rahul holds tit for tat roadshow in Varanasi, sums up last 8 months as extensive, innovative and satisfying'. The Times of India, The Indian Express and The Statesman show Rahul Gandhi as he campaigned for his party candidate there yesterday.

The Asian Age writes 'Election Commission gives clean chit to Rahul in booth case', and that 'there was no polling during his visit'. But the Times of India headline reads 'EC says Rahul's presence at EVM was unauthorised, but lets him off'. 'Was it really a fair, thorough probe?' asks the paper.

Election Commissioner Brahma indicating that there was difference of opinion in the EC over denying permission for Modi's rally in Varanasi, the Pioneer writes 'CEC puts united face a day after Brahma- astra fire'. The paper adds 'Sampath defends Varanasi DM, Jaitley calls refusal for NaMo's rally a big blot on EC's fairness'.

'Reliance tires of government delays, files 2nd arbitration case' is the Financial Express headline. The Hindustan Times explains that the price hike, notified by the government on 10th January was put on hold because of elections. The paper adds that the hike will almost be 100 per cent, from 4.2 dollars per unit to 8.2 dollars per unit.

The Times of India reports that IAS officer Ashok Khemka faces a threat of dismissed from service as his appraisal reports have cast aspersions on his integrity. Khemka had exposed Priyanka Gandhi's husband Vadra's alleged shady land deals.

The Hindu and the Indian Express have reports of Meerut being tense after communal clashes there yesterday.

In an article titled 'All set for an alien journey', Mail Today gives a glimpse into some Indians who have been short listed for this one way trip to Mars.

And finally, Delhi Times writes of moms blackmailing their children on Mothers Day today - asking them to do things like learning to cook, making a shaadi profile - or even adding them on facebook!
