The stand off in the Supreme Court between the CJI Deepak Misra and four senior judges, continues to dominate the headlines of most newspapers today. "SC crisis sends legal fraternity into huddle", headlines The Pioneer. "Top lawyer's body backs judges who took on CJI", adds The Hindustan Times . The Asian Age reports "CJI may meet rebel judges in bid to minimise damage", while The DNA informs "Judge, Attorney General say crisis in Court will be resolved".
In a related story The Times of India notes in its lead page story that- "SC rift may spur government to contest judges - select-  judges system", and reports that "After Friday's revolt, government may use the tumult to seek clarity on whether the recommendations of a badly divided Collegium on appointment of judges is obligatory".
The triple tragedy in Maharashtra yesterday has also been reported exclusively by newspapers with photographs. "Air, Water, Road tragedies befall  Maharashtra; 13 killed ", reports The Pioneer. "Copter crash off Mumbai kills senior ONGC officials - 5 DGMs, 2 Pilots were on board.
The horrific case of child abuse by a Delhi dentist has also been reported extensively. The Hindustan Times reports that the Ministry of Women and Child development has suggested that school curriculum include lessons on the harmful impact of Internet addiction and Cyber ethics, laying out a road-map for tackling one of the biggest concerns of parents with growing children in India.
The Times of India discloses that the human resource development ministry has directed the Indian Institute of Technology to prepare separate merit lists for girls from 2018-19 academic session to ensure that the number female students, on each IIT campus is 14 per cent.
The Mail Today informs that hunting raptor birds like owls and eagles are making a killing, eating upto 3 birds a day in season, amid the pigeon boom in Delhi. This is attributed to the thinning forest cover around the city, leading to a rise in the number of these birds in the city.
