The coverage of the first phase of elections in Gujarat yesterday, dominates the headlines of most news papers today. "Big turnout kicks off battle for Gujarat", declares The Times of India, while the Asian Age notes "With 68% turnout, Modi claims historic win" The Pioneer adds "EC orders probe into allegations of EVM tampering via WiFi, Bluetooth in Porbandar." The Statesman reports "Election commission says Congress charges of EVM tampering is baseless".
