The Supreme Court's observations in the case regarding the relative powers of Delhi's elected government and the Lieutenant Governor are prominently noticed on the front pages of many dailies. The Times of India quotes the apex court as saying "LG has primacy but w can make more room for Delhi government". The Pioneer reports the Court as saying "LG head of Delhi, but cant sit on files".
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's election rallies in Himachal Pradesh get front page attention. The Tribune reports "Reject Congress, Modi tells martyr's kin : Woos Himachal's ex-servicemen ; says 'devbhoomi' is rid of mafia".
The papers also keenly track political developments in Gujarat in wake of the forthcoming assembly elections in the state. The DNA quotes Dalit leader of the state Jignesh Mewani as saying "Neither joining Congress nor contesting". Taking note of Patidar leader Hardik Patel's decision , The Asian Age writes "Hardik blinks, says Patels will back Congress to oust BJP".
On the meeting between West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Shiv  Sena chief Uddhav Thakeray, the DNA writes "Uddhav, Mamata meet sparks talk of alliance".
The blast at the NTPC plant in Uttar Pradesh's Rae Bareli district continues to be under media scrutiny. The Indian Express writes "Early findings show safety norms violated, boiler operations went wrong : NTPC says no explosion, ash collection led to 'disturbance' ".
The Tribune leads with a story on an important decision by the Army on Junior Commissioned Officers. The paper writes "JCOs are gazetted officers, says Army : Rectifies six year old anomaly; 64,000 to benefit".
India slipping 21 places on the Gender Gap Index published by the World Economic Forum is widely reported. The Tribune reports "Women must wait 217 years to earn same as men". The Hindustan Times sharply observes "Even more of a man's world".
And finally...imagine driving on a road at 19,300 feet....the DNA reports "India builds world's highest motorable road in Ladakh".
