A LOOK AT TODAY'S NEWSPAPERS HEADLINES:-
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj's address at the United Nations General Assembly session in New York dominates front page headlines. "We produced IITs and IIMs, you Jaish and Lashkar : Sushma tears into Pak" is the front page lead in the Indian Express. The Hindu quotes Ms Swaraj as saying "Pak repeatedly rejected offers of talks".
The second day of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's two day visit to Varanasi is prominently covered in the press. The Pioneer quotes the Prime Minster as saying in a public meeting "Country first, votes later ; anti graft fight will continue". Reporting on his other activities in the city, the Hindustan Times states "PM Modi watches live surgery on bull".
In the face of worrying economic numbers, the Hindustan Times reports, "Centre readies booster dose to rev up economy; Thrust on MSME, infra, banks and job creation".
Highlighting the growing economic cooperation between India and Japan  the Hindu in a special story reports "Japan to fund mass rapid transit systems in Gujarat, Haryana ; 4.5 billion soft loan from Japan International Cooperation Agency to boost 100 billion dollar Delhi - Mumbai Industrial Corridor project".
 All the papers take note of the one year extension given to Chief Economic Adviser Arvind Subramnian. The Tribune quotes him as saying "Stressed assets key area of concern".
The revelation made by a Tamil Nadu Minister regarding deceased former Chief Minister J Jayalalitha's health condition when she was admitted to a private hospital is highlighted in all the papers.
