The Supreme Court's observation on the delay in the Babri Masjid demolition case grabs front page attention in many papers. The Hindustan Times reports "Babri case evasion of justice says SC : Top court to rule on CBI's plea to restore conspiracy charges against Advani, Joshi and others". The Pioneer notes "Apex court hints at transferring case to Lucknow".
The fallout of the controversial incident in which Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad allegedly assaulted an Air India official is keenly tracked in the press. The Hindu reports "Gaikwad regrets Air India incident : But insists he owes no apology to the airline's officials; wants ban lifted". The DNA observes "Air India may relent after a written apology". The incident reverberated in Parliament as well with the Times of India writing "Sena MPs heckle aviation mantri over Gaikwad ban".
The lynching of a man in Rajasthan's Alwar district by a cow vigilante group echoed in Parliament with Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi denying that the kind of incident being described had actually happened on the ground. The Indian Express reports "Rajya Sabha seeks report from government after Naqvi remark sparks outrage in House". In an interesting nugget, the Times of India reports "10 per cent gau raksha surcharge in Rajasthan on stamp duty".
The Shunglu Committee's report on the AAP government in Delhi is widely reported in the press. The DNA writes "Shunglu panel report slams AAP ministers' foreign trips".
The passage of the GST bills in the Rajya Sabha is noticed by all the papers with the DNA singling out former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's contribution as it writes "Manmohan facilitates sommoth sailing for GST in Rajya Sabha".
RBI chief Urjit Patel's observation on farm loan waiver schemes is prominently noticed in the press. The Indian Express quotes him as saying Farm loan waiver undermines honest credit culture".
