Facebook announces plan to fight misinformation campaigns

NEWSPAPER HEADLINES
Most newspapers lead with the Delhi Municipal elections results. "BJP sweeps civic elections", writes The Hindustan Times. In a related story, the paper reports that a steep drop in AAP's vote share puts a question mark over its future. The DNA banner headline attempts a pun. "Kejriwail in saffron gale" is how they describe the results. "Slew of resignations after Congress finishes third" headlines the Indian Express.
The Economic Times captures the elation in the stock markets with the banner headline "30,000! What next?". The paper reports that both the Sensex and Nifty have scaled to historic highs.
The Pioneer writes that the Centre has approved a record 1 lac affordable houses to be built for urban poor. An amount of Rs 4200 crores has been approved for this construction.
In line with the Digital India narrative, Financial Express writes that the Indian Railways is all set to go fully digital. The move would enable the public transporter to save Rs 60000 crores, adds the paper.
"More North East areas get broad gauge rail" informs The Asian Age. Quoting top sources, the paper reports that by 2020, Imphal too would be connected with broad gauge rail.
The Hindu focuses its attention on the continuing students' protests in Jammu and Kashmir. The J&K government has decided to ban 22 social media websites in the valley. The ban is likely to continue for at least one more month, writes the paper.
And finally, the Times of India writes of a shrine in Alwar that stands tall as an example of communal harmony. The integrated shrine of Sayyed darbar and  Hanuman mandir sees Hindus and Muslims praying under the same roof. A good example for the country to emulate.
