AIADMK legislators yesterday electing V K Sasikala, also known as Chinnamma, to become the 12th Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, is covered extensively by the Press, with accompanying photographs of her with folded hands. The Times of India top headline reads "Jaya's close aide, who has never fought an election - grabs Tamil Nadu reins". The Hindu quotes her as saying - "I have to fulfill Jaya's dreams."
Hindustan Times reports - In a bid to check generation of black money, a steep penalty awaits those accepting cash in excess of  Rs. 3 lakhs, beginning April 1, to settle any transaction. The receiver will have to pay an amount equivalent to the cash received.
