Several papers have given front page coverage to the appointment of  N Chandrasekaran as the new executive chairman of Tata Sons. "Hindustan Times headline reads TCS's Chandra is first non-parsi to head Tata". "Tata Sons choose marathon man from within as Chairman", writes The Indian Express. The Asian Age says - capping two months of the most better boardroom battle in corporate history after the unceremonious sacking of Cyrus Mistry - 54 years old, Chandra will take over Tata Sons.
The Asian Age reports, The latest incident in a string of cases in which facilities being provided to paramilitary jawans have come under scrutiny - a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) head constable, allegedly agitated over poor sleeping arrangement in his barrack - fired indiscriminately at his colleagues, killing four of them, including an unarmed senior.
Hindustan Times writes that Hafiz Saeed has been caught on tape boasting that four Pakistan Mujahideen carried out Monday's attack on an Indian Army facility in Akhnoor, calling it a surgical stirke.

And finally, a new study in the US has found that when talking to their pets, human adults use "dog-directed speech", which is quite similar to "infant-directed speech" and that puppies are highly responsive when they are addressed like infants, more so than grown dogs.
