The Railway Budget figures prominently on the front pages of all newspapers. "Prabhu retains old fares but sets course for new reforms" says the Hindustan Times. "Customer takes first class seat in Prabhu's plans" reports The Hindu."To propel Railways into future, Prabhu enters engine room; wagon full of goodies" headlines The Economic Times. "Three more freight corridors, cut in goods tariff on its way" highlights The Indian Express. "Delhi Ring Rail to be revived" notes The Pioneer. The Financial Express reports that Prime Minister Modi has hailed the Budget which "caters to all sections of society and showcases  a vision to reorganise and rejuvenate the national transporter with the aim of providing trains with higher speed and safety."

On the ongoing acrimonious debate in Parliament on the JNU issue, Hindustan Times reports, "Jaitley invokes Indira, Rajiv, to turn tables on Congress." "Irani remarks over Goddess Durga sets off uproar, Rajya Sabha adjourned," notes The Asian Age. "Stay out of JNU campus, cops tell Netas in order not to aggravate the situation" adds the paper.

And finally, Times of India reports of Chinese Scientists successfully isolating two ZIKA virus strains. This will assist research into a possible vaccination.
