The year 2010 recorded the largest ever killings by Maoists and the spatial spread of Maoist movement was disturbingly extensive.
Mr. Chidambaram's observation came during a meeting of the Chiefs of Police of nine naxal-affected States and chiefs of paramilitary forces last month."
