­King's speech crowned in LA — RT: "The King’s Speech became best at the 83rd Oscar rewarding ceremony in LA, scoring four awards including Best Picture and Best Actor for its lead actor Colin Firth.
Inception and The Social Network were next in line, gaining four and three Academy Awards in various categories respectively.

Colin Firth bested the legendary Jeff Bridges in True Grit, Jesse Eisenberg in The Social Network, James Franco in 127 Hours and Spanish actor Javier Bardem in Biutiful. The director of The King’s Speech – a story about King George VI of England – Tom Hooper, and screenwriter David Seidler, also captured Oscars at the 83rd Academy Awards."
