Confirmed coronavirus cases in India cross 600-mark; Maharashtra worst-hit state

"Modi Draws Laxman Rekha" headlines The Hindustan Times. The Times of India writes "India Under Lockdown for 3 Weeks". "India, Locked and Loaded... in the fight against Covid-19" states The Economic Times. 'Jaan hai to Jahan hai, stay indoors' The Pioneer quotes the Prime Minister.

"Modi assures essentials open; rules underline adherence, with threat of penal action" reports The Indian Express. The paper also notes "Compliance norms eased for firms, FM says financial package 'sooner than later' ", on Nirmala Sitharaman announcing a series of regulatory and compliance-related relaxation for taxpayers.

"Ensure smooth operations of print, electronic media to check fake news: Centre to states" is a front page story in the Times of India.

And finally, "How India worked out epidemic model". The Mail Today says, a study by Indian and international researchers used mathematical modelling to predict Coronavirus spread in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata, at least two weeks before Coronavirus was declared a pandemic.
