Another landmark though contentious Bill passed by the Lok Sabha yesterday, was the Citizenship Bill. The Asian Age reports that the Bill seeks to grant Indian citizenship to non Muslims from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan, thereby providing succour to persecuted Hindus, Jains, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists and Parcis from these neighboring countries.
