Almost all the newspapers have covered the Chhattisgarh assembly election campaign heating up. Quoting the Prime Minister the Indian Express writes, "Congress Shields urban Maoists who live in AC homes".  The Asian Age writes, "Congress supports urban Naxals in big cars says PM". "DNA reports Rahul slams PM Modi over ruined economy".

The Hindustan Times reports, "India plans mega test to check Coastal Security". The paper adds, focus will be on preparedness to deal with 26/11 like attacks.After Sri Lanka and Pakistan, China has signed an agreement to build deep sea port project in Myanmar. The Pioneer reports "China bolsters its string of pearls. To build port in Myanmar", building a network of ports to encircle India.

" 'Black Box' on trains to crack accidents is the lead story in Mail Today. The daily reports, Haunted by the Amritsar tragedy, Railways takes a cue from planes and begins installing powerful recording devices inside engines.

The Times of India headlines, "In Delhi, private hospitals may offer Modicare", the daily writes about a move by the centre planning to directly empanel Delhi based private hospitals under Ayushman Bharat, which have been out of the purview of the scheme as Delhi government has not signed the initiative, benefitting patients from neighboring states but not Delhi residents.
