Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly Radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat', yesterday,  is quoted extensively by this morning's Press.  "Prime Minister launches renewed Farmer, Dalit outreach".  At a time when agrarian distress has been in sharp focus, the Prime Minister sought to win over both sections by promising remunerative Minimum Support Prices and saying that he himself is an example of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar's philosophy.

"Rahul and BJP spar over PM App Data Leak" - is the top headline in the Asian Age.  Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Sunday alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's official App was sharing data without user's consent.  This charge has been trashed by the BJP as a 'fake story' - adds the paper.

"Law panel seeks wider talks on Uniform Civil Code" - reports Mail Today.  Eighteen months after issuing a questionnaire on the feasibility of a Uniform Civil Code in India, The Law Commission has invited detailed submissions and views from stake holders on the contentious issue.

Australian skipper Steve Smith being handed a one-test ban for his role in the ball-tempering scandal, is also prominently noted in this morning's papers.  The Indian Express writes that Steve Smith and Cameron Bancroft confessed to ball tampering after Saturday's play.

The headline in the Pioneer reads "Riding Shatabdi to Get Cheaper".  Fares in premium Shatabdi Express routes with low passenger turnout, will be slashed.

The Indian Express reports "In a major initiative to monitor rising pollution in water bodies in the North-East, a 'Floating Laboratory' has been set-up by the Institute of Bio-resources and Sustainable Development in Manipur, to monitor the health of lakes and rivers and to put into place preventive measures.

And finally, The Times of India reiterates "Now being overweight can shorten lifespan".  A US based study in Chicago offers fresh evidence that extremely Obese people have shorter lives by around 6 years and that even those who are 'just overweight', spend more years living with heart diseases..
