A possible plot by Maoists to kill Prime Minister Modi and Devendra Fadnavis and perpetual tension at the Line of Control are the stories that dominate almost all papers today along with wide coverage being given to Pranab Mukherjee attending an RSS event.

On the volatile situation on the borders, some key announcements have been made which have been given prominence in the Tribune, "Rajnath backs forces on withdrawal of FIRs", adding, "key announcements for Jammu and Kashmir", while the DNA quotes Rajnath Singh, "Security meet to decide on ceasefire extension".
Pranab Mukherjee ruffled some feathers while appeased others when he attended the RSS event. The DNA quotes LK Advani, "Pranab's speech resonates with RSS ideology", adding both of them highlighted the essential unity of India which respects all diversities, including pluralism of faiths".
