"United Opposition turns into lotus eater before 2019," headlines the DNA, adding in sub headlines, "Lok Sabha polls won't be cakewalk for BJP - Opposition road map is to stay united," In a special section on poll results, Hindustan Times writes, "In run up to 2019 Lok Sabha polls, why BJP needs to be worried," adding "United Opposition in UP is more formidable today than it was in 2014."
A spate of recent thunderstorms has prompted action by the Centre. Hindustan Times says, "Center to set up expert panel on thunderstorms."
Realising the growing importance of India for the Pentagon, the Trump administration announced the renaming of the US Pacific Command. The Times of India writes, US Pacific Command is now Indo-Pacific Command." However, it adds, "renaming does not mean any additional military assets would be dispatched to the Indo-Pacific immediately."
