Newspapers have led with different stories today. The Asian Age quotes Prime Minister as saying  ''Violence & Cruelty cannot solve problems''. DNA reports Prime Minister Modi pitches for peace and invokes Jalianwala Bagh killings. The Newspaper quotes Prime Minister saying, "violence no solution to any problem".
The Statesman headlines "two LeTmen killed in J&K encounter, one surrenders" The Asian Age reports, 2 J&K militants killed, 1 surrenders; civilian dies'' adding ''Separatists strike today to protest civilian deaths''. On the killing of Shujaat Bhukhari Hindustan Times writes ''orders to kill Bukhari came from Pakistan''.   
The Pioneer writes ''Deficit monsoon threatens to rain on farmers' parade'' while DNA highlights '' Monsoon to hit capital city on June 29: IMD''.
Hindustan Times headlines, "all mertro systems to have standard norms nationwide. Metro man-led panel to lay down road map". The Pioneer says ''Affordable transport a priority', PM opens Bahadurgarh Metro''.
England's 6-1 thrashing of Panama in the FIFA World Cup on Sunday is covered with reports and photographs. The Hindustan Times reports that Harry Kane struck a hat-trick as England banished the ghost of past failures with a record win that eased them into the last 16. The win is the biggest ever in this world cup.
Two years after he became  the youngest International Master, India's R Praggnanadhaa has rewritten record books yet again, becoming the world's second youngest Grandmaster (GM) and India's youngest at the age of 12 years.
finally, In an interesting story The Hindu writes that '' A groom demands a growing dowry''. Well Odisha teacher Saroj Kant Biswal has asked his in-laws for 1,000 saplings to green his village. An innovative and great gesture from the teacher to green our planet.
