The Centre's decision to resume full scale anti-terror operations in Jammu and Kashmir after Eid makes for top newspaper headlines today.
The Indian Express reports "Forces showed restraint, terrorists didn't...J&K ceasefire over, says Government". The Tribune quotes J&K Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti condemning the "other side" and saying "Saboteurs undid it for common man".
The NITI Aayog's governing council meeting yesterday is the other top story reported across newspapers. "Time to eye double digit growth, Modi tells CMs" headlines the Hindustan Times. "Follow cooperative federalism, Centre told" writes the Tribune.
In the backdrop of the same meeting, the dharna politics of Delhi also grabs newspapers' attention. "Asked PM to intervene, resolve 'constitutional crisis' in Delhi, say four CMs after NITI Aayog meeting" notes the Indian Express. "Now the ball is in Modi's court says Mamta" headlines the Pioneer. "Not on strike, says IAS body; CM pledges security to officers" writes the daily.
Another top headline in the Indian Express reads "ED to move court against Mallya in first case under new fugitives law". The paper speculates that if the special court declares Mallya a fugitive, his assets in India and abroad are liable for confiscation.
"DU cutoffs today, may be higher than 2017" especially in arts and commerce, writes the Times of India.
And finally, the Indian Express reports that the hunger for data in our country is growing. The paper says that there has been a 4-fold spike in WiFi usage at 370 railways stations of our country over the last year.
