Congress Sweeps Telangana Municipal Polls; BRS Trailing
Hyderabad: The Congress party has maintained a dominant lead in the ongoing Telangana municipal elections, securing victories in a vast majority of the counted municipalities.
According to the latest results released at 12:06 PM IST, the Congress has swept key constituencies across the state, including Huzurnagar, Nereducherla, Banswada, and Station Ghanpur.
The main opposition, BRS, has been restricted to limited gains, securing wins in only four municipalities so far: Gaddapotharam, Indresham, Ieeja, and Thorrur. Meanwhile, the Forward Bloc claimed victory in Vaddepally.
Four municipalities—Devarakadra, Alampur, Kohir, and Kesamudram—have delivered a fractured mandate, resulting in a hung verdict.
