Small savings schemes’ interest rates cut by 20 bps

Tactical strike by the Army across the LoC, and India slamming Pakistan for ill-treating Indian prisoner, Kulbhushan Jadhav's family, are prominently highlighted in the press today.
"India kills three across LoC, slams Pakistan over Jadhav" is the headline in the Hindustan Times. The Indian Express reports "Two days after four Indian soldiers Killed, Army strikes back, kills three Pak soldiers in cross-LoC raid". "India teaches Pak lesson in PoK" states The Pioneer, while The Asian Age observes it as a strong sign of a return to the pre-2003 days of frequent hit-and-runs across the LoC.
"Angry India slams Pakistan for insults heaped on Jadhav kin" writes The Times of India. 'Pak made Jadhav-family meet a media spectacle' DNA cites a MEA statement. The Pioneer states "Jadhav meet: India nails Pak's 'humanitarian' lie".
The Hindu Business Line headlines "Santa Claus rally takes Sensex past 34,000 mark".
"GST collections fall to lowest in November" notes the Business Standard. The Economic Times states "Sharp cut in GST rates pulls down November collections".
"Water bills to shoot up for bigger consumers" highlights the Hindustan Times. The Pioneer informs "Delhites to pay 120 per cent for consuming water above 20,000 litres a month".
"L-G slams door on doorstep services" writes The Asian Age on Delhi Lieutenant-governor, Anil Baijal sending back for reconsideration, a Delhi government proposal for doorstep delivery of public services  for graft-free governance.
"PMO - backed team releases plan to clean toxic Delhi air" is a front page story in the Hindustan Times.
"UK eases rules, gives students more flexibility for work visas" informs the Times of India.
And finally, "Way to go: 3D-printed toilets for Swachh Bharat" reports the Hindu Business Line in a box item, on technology devised by a Bengaluru-based start-up, which can cut cost and construction time by building toilets and small houses in a matter of days.
