A LOOK AT TODAY'S NEWSPAPERS HEADLINES:
Several newspapers have prominently reported on the killing of an off duty soldier in Kashmir by terrorists. In its lead page story The Times of India writes "J&K terrorist kill yet another unarmed soldier on vacation - Dastardly Act amid mounting pressure on LeT", adding that it is the third time this year that terrorists have killed off duty Kashmiris working in the Army or the BSF. The Asian Age headlines "J&K: abducted jawan found dead".
The Hindustan Times reports on a warning given by the United States to Pakistan on LeT founder Hafiz Saeed, "Arrest Saeed or there will be repercussions, US warns Pak". In a related story on Pakistan The Indian Express informs "India, Pak NSAs talked last month, Delhi confronts Islamabad on Pathankot".
The debate on Judicial Activism at a conference on the National Law Day dominates the front pages of many newspapers today "CJI, MoS law lock Horns on judicial activism- Court should stay away from realm of policy, says P P Chaudhary," headlines The Sunday Pioneer. The Hindustan Times reports, " President calls for a more inclusive and open judiciary".
The Sunday Times exults "Dangal-2 another Phogat sister sets the mat on fire- 'Ruthless'  Ritu wins India's first silver in World under-23" Wrestling Championship being held in Poland.
The Hindu informs that sometime in 2019 or 2020 India will send ISRO's solar mission Aditya-L1 to a vantage point in  space known as L1 'Lagrange point, to do imaging and study of the Sun.
