A LOOK AT TODAY'S NEWSPAPERS HEADLINES:
Global credit rating agency, Moody's upgrading India's sovereign credit rating from BAA3 to BAA2 gets top billing in the newspapers today.
"After 14 years, Moody's ups India's rating to highest ever" headlines the Times of India. "Modi gets Moody's thumbs up" is how the Pioneer describes it. The Statesman highlights "Stock Market gets a boost, Rupee soars vs dollar".
The BJP releasing its first list of 70 candidates for Gujarat Assembly elections gets widely reported. "17 Patels, 4 women, 5 Cong rebels among 70 named" writes the Asian Age.
"JD-U's 'arrow' symbol alloted to Nitish faction" is another top headline in the Asian Age.
The Hindustan Times, reports, "Multi-state action plan on bad air must kick in, says NGT". The Asian Age, says "BJP to move Supreme Court against AAP govt on green cess". The Pioneer highlights on its front page "Parking in Sarojini Nagar market to cost you 5,000 rupees". The paper adds "NGT orders shoppers to use only NDMC's multi-level parking".
Several papers report on the raging protests surrounding the period film Padmavati. "Padmavati chapter gets dirtier" writes the Mail Today. The Times of India reports "Padmavati might be delayed as censor board returns application". The DNA has quoted the film's lead Deepika Padukone as saying "I have full faith in our judicial system".  Meanwhile, the Asian Age highlights "Entry to Chittorgarh Fort closed over Padmavati stir".
The surrender of young footballer-turned terrorist Majid Arshid before the security forces in Kashmir also receives prominent coverage in the papers. "Mother's love draws footballer back home from LeT cluthes" writes the Pioneer.
The Tribune informs that the Japanese Railway has issued a "deep apology" for the tremendous nuisance caused by a train departing only 20 seconds early. That's called respect for punctuality!
