The Hindu reports that the Commission of Railway safety has not found any evidence of sabotage in the November 20 derailment of the Indore-Rajendranagar Express and has identified 'carriage and wagon defects ' as the prime reason for the accident which resulted in the most number of casualties in a train accident in over a decade.
Government will soon roll out Aadhaar Pay service that will enable people to make and receive payments using their Aadhaar number and biometrics, reports the Asian Age. With this, people will not require to carry their phone for payments. They can visit any merchant, share their Aadhaar number and verify themselves using biometrics to pay and receive money.
DMRC has decided to rejig the Delhi Metro app to allow financial transactions. This could enable passengers to buy tokens or top-up their smart cards.Currently , the app only provides information on train routes, nearest station, train timings, etc., reports the Times of India.
Activists of a fringe group stalled the shooting of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's historical film Padmavati at Jaigarh Fort in Jaipur by assaulting the filmmaker and vandalising the sets, reports the Hindu.
And finally, Can women be brilliant? Little girls are not so sure. The Times of India reports a study which suggests that girls as young as 6 can be led to believe men are inherently smarter and more talented than women.
