The Indian  Express writes -The Elections Commission of India has written to the Cabinet Secretary seeking the Union Government's stand by January 10, on the Oppositions demand to postpone the Budget Presentation to a day after March 8  - the last date of polling in Uttar Pradesh 'before it takes a final decision on the matter.
