NEWSPAPERS HEADLINES:

Several news papers today have highlighted the Home Ministry's decision to put in place a 'Cyber Monitoring Mechanism' - by empowering 10 agencies to intercept, monitor and decrypt all data contained in any computer system. The Times of India headline reads,"Data interception order sparks row, Govt cites 2009 UPA rule". The DNA reports, the Opposition was united in terming the order a threat to democracy, the Centre responded by saying that the surveillance order dosen't confer any new power on the Government.
Another big story in most papers is the CBI Court acquitting all accused, in the alleged Sohrabuddin Shaikh Fake Encounter Case. The Asian Age headline reads. "All 22 accused in Sohrabuddin case acquitted". CBI judge cites lack of evidence.
"Vacate Herald House in two weeks - Associated Journals Limited told," is a headline in The Hindu. The paper reports that in a setback to the Congress the Delhi High Court, yesterday, directed Associated Journals Limited  to vacate the Herald House in the capital, within two weeks.
"High Court rejects Sajjan Kumars' plea for more time to surrender" reports The Asian Age. A bench of justices S Muralidharan and Vinod Goel had, earlier, sentenced him to life imprisonment in a 1984 anti sikh riots case.
The DNA writes "Rajasthan farmers unlikely to see loan waiver soon". The Ashok Gehlot government may have scored brownie points for delivering its promise of waiving loans of farmers, but there is no Time Line yet, on the distribution of Waiver Certificates to farmers reports the paper.
And Finally, The Times of India asks - "A break from your mobile phone?" Some holiday resorts are now offering perks for just that - by incentives like snorkeling tours and similar activities, and urging guests to give up their phones for just a few hours, thereby promoting wellness and true relaxation.
