The uncertainty  and suspense prevailing  inTamil Nadu also continues to dominate headlines. "The paper also adds that the TN Governor is learnt to be firm in his thinking that all should wait for the Supreme Court's verdict in the disproportionate assets case before taking a call on inviting V K Sasikala to form the government.

The Hindu informs us that "A proposal to hike salaries of the President, Vice President and Governors is stuck  in the  PMO".  For over six months now, President Pranab Mukherjee has been drawing less salary than a Joint Secretary, as a proposal to increase the salary is gathering dust  in the PMO. The Home Minstry has proposed an increase of the Presidents salary from the current 1.5 lakh rupees to 5 lakh rupees per month.
And finally, Mail  Today writes that Haryana is to follow the Beijing model and buy giant air purifiers in its battle against the NCR winter smog. A 'smog free tower' is a seven meter high air purifier, the largest in the world, which takes in polluted air particles and expels cleaner air.
