Yesterday's  polls are highlighted on the front pages this morning. "Punjab 78 percent, Goa 83 percent: Voters set records in high-stake battles", headlines the Sunday Express. "All-time-high turnouts in Punjab, Goa," writes the Sunday Times.
Hafiz Saeed changing the name of his banned Jammat-ud-Dawa outfit - to beat the ban placed on him only a few days ago - also receives prominence in the Press. Hindustan Times reports - The JuD - linked to the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks - has been rechristened as the Tehreek Azadi Jammu and Kashmir, a movement for Kashmir's freedom.
The "Sasikala-for-CM" chorus growing again in the AIADMK Party, is covered by DNA. The convening of a special  MLA's meeting in Chennai has given credence to the speculation that Sasikala may take over the reins from O Paneerselvam - who was appointed Chief Minister after the demise of  J.Jayalalithaa.
The Asian Age writes - US President Donald Trump lashed out on Saturday at a Seattle Court ruling, suspending his controversial ban on travelers from seven Muslim countries, dismissing it as  'ridiculous' and vowed to get it overturned. He said, 'the opinion of this so-called judge is ridiculous and will be overturned'.
Hindustan Times writes that lakhs of people who were allegedly duped of an estimated 3,700 crore rupees by a Noida based company, might get back a part of the money they had invested in the 'click-to-earn scheme' after investigating agencies froze two bank accounts with deposits of more than 500 crore rupees belonging to the owner Anubhav Mittal.
