BJP's grand victory in the north-east and the post-poll analytics dominate the front page headlines in virtually all the newspapers this morning.
"BJP topples Manik's Sarkar" is The Hindustan Times' headline. Reportng on the same story Mail Today writes, "How saffron crack team won the hills" adding that 'determined unit of Madhav, Himanta , Rijiju, Deodhar, Deb delivers stunning success for NDA in Northeast expansion.'
Special court tightening screws on the economic offenders Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi is another story that is widely covered by newspapers. "Non-bailable warrants for Nirav, Choksi" is how Sunday Business Standard has headlined it. The Hindu expands on the story saying, "The court set up under the prevention of Monery laundering act issued the warrants on applications filed by the ED"
India and Vietnam reinforcing their defence ties is prominently noticed by the papers. "India, Vietnam lay stress on defence ties" is the headline in The Hindu which further writes that 'the two sides also built on previous statements on maritime security in the Indo-Pacific region, calling for free and open sea lanes.'
Reporting on the fresh developments in the Gauri Lankesh murder case, The Sunday Express writes saying, "Gauri Murder: Hindu outfit man held, police uncover 'second plot' The paper writes that K T Naveen Kumar, an activist of right wing group called Hindu Yuva Sena had gone missing ever since the killing of journalist-activist took place.
The Times of India has covered the SSC paper-leak fiasco saying, "Metro station shut as SSC paper-leak hots up" adding that 'Amid protests over the alleged leak in the SSC exam, DMRC closed the busy JLN stadium station on Saturday till further notice.
