"Rahul and BJP spar over PM App Data Leak" - is the top headline in the Asian Age.  Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Sunday alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's official App was sharing data without user's consent.  This charge has been trashed by the BJP as a 'fake story' - adds the paper.

"Law panel seeks wider talks on Uniform Civil Code" - reports Mail Today.  Eighteen months after issuing a questionnaire on the feasibility of a Uniform Civil Code in India, The Law Commission has invited detailed submissions and views from stake holders on the contentious issue.

Most Papers this morning highlight the recovery of the  Indians  who went 'missing' in Iraq, since June 2014. "ISIS killed 39 abducted Indians" is The Asian Age headline. Quoting government sources the paper reports that nearly four years after 39 Indian workers were kidnapped by ISIS in the Iraqi city of Mosul, Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj confirmed in Parliament yesterday that they have been killed and their bodies exhumed from a mass grave.
The Times of India reports that PM Narendra Modi greeted Chinese president XI Jinping on his re-election. The paper,  quoting President XI as he kicks off a second and indefinite term, says he is 'ready for a bloody battle and won't cede an inch of Chinese land to others'.
The Asian Age writes that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal will hold an all party meeting with the Supreme Court appointed monitoring committee on unauthorised constructions, to find a solution to the sealing drive. He has invited leaders of the Congress and the BJP to attend the meeting.
Financial express writes that IndiGo and Qatar Airways are interested in gaining control of Air India in a consortium, and are likely to make a joint bid.

The news of the Telugu Desam Party finally quitting the National Democratic Alliance dominates the lead headlines this morning. The Economic Times leads with "Markets slide on Global Sentiment, Local Politics" as the benchmark indices posted their biggest single day fall since February 2nd.

"Banks leave worries behind, Disburse One lakh Crore Rupees in 2 weeks" headlines the Economic Times. The paper quoting experts writes that the trend belays fears that the Punjab National Bank fraud put a freeze on credit as lenders became excessively wary.
Under the headline "Govt meets farm credit target" the Pioneer writes that the actual loan disbursal to farmers in 2016-17 is 118.42% of the planned amount.
Singer Daler Mehendi getting a 2 year jail term in the 2003 human trafficking case is also highlighted by the papers. "2 year jail for kabootarbaaz Daler Mehendi" headlines the Pioneer.
"Beginning Sunday, Uber, Ola drivers say to go off roads" is a top headline in the Financial Express. The paper says the indefinite strike over repayment defaults for drivers is expected to be observed in Mumbai, Benguluru, Delhi, Hyderabad and Pune, among others. 
The Indian Express reports about a worrysome trend in India, in contrast to the worldwide trends. "More women have cancer than men" in India according to a study published in the new Lancet paper. The India-specific genetic biomarkers urgently need to be be identified, writes the daily.

Yesterday's mammoth Farmer's Protest in the country's commercial capital of  Mumbai, is highlighted in today's Press. "Farmers Call Off stir - after Fadnavis 'gives in' 100%", headlines The Asian Age. The Times of India headline reads "Maharastra says 'Yes' to farmer's demand to forest land and waiver of loans".
The other major news story is of a 'US-Bangla Airline' Crash -  at Nepal's international airport in Kathmandu. "Plane crash-lands in Nepal, 50 killed", is the DNA headline. The aircraft crashed and burst into flames while landing and careened off the runway into a football ground.
"BJP takes Rajya Sabha battle to the Opposition" is the Hindustan Times top headline. The March 23 Rajya Sabha elections suddenly became more interesting, with the BJP deciding to contest more seats that it is certain of winning.
The Asian Age reports of discontented Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Aggarwal, who yesterday joined the BJP after the Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party favoured actor-turned-politician Jaya Bachchan for renomination to the Rajya Sabha. He faced controversy by making a 'sexist' comment against Ms Bachchan, for which he was 'rapped' by senior BJP leader and external affairs minister, Sushma Swaraj.

India committing 1.4 billion dollars towards Solar Energy worldwide, is highlighted prominently in today's Papers. The Times of India writes that India has announced one of the world's largest investment plans in Solar Energy - at the Founding Conference of the International Alliance, to cover 15 countries. The conference was co-chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President, Emmanuel Macron.
The Indian Express informs us that through Sunday, the financial capital of Mumbai witnessed 40,000 farmers and tribals from across Maharashtra - march slowly through the length of the city, demanding a loan waiver, amongst other demands.
"India, Pakistan spar over 'harassment' of their diplomats", is a top headline in The Times of India. The paper quotes sources as saying that the present hostilities were triggered by an ISI raid on a residential complex - under construction for Indian diplomats in Islamabad.
"Limit on Xi Jinping's tenure goes, as China's National People's Congress removes the Limit on the tenure of the President to two consecutive five-year terms" - reports The Hindu. Mr. Xi can now serve as President of China indefinitely.
Hindustan Times reports that the National Capital may soon become the first city in India to levy a Toll on vehicles entering congested roads, with authorities zeroing in on 21 such stretches in Delhi where tax could be imposed, in a bid to ease traffic and to check pollution.

"China on mind, India, France step up ties" headlines the Sunday Tribune, while the Sunday Business Standard says, "Modi, Macron ink 14 pacts, firms tie up $16 billion deals. "Macron swipe at China :Sea lanes not for hegemonic power plays" writes The Asian Age. "India France join hands for Indian Ocean security, fresh logistical agreement to allow closer defence cooperation," writes The Hindu.
The other top story covered by major newspapers is about the E-way bill to be in force from 1st of April. The Hindu quotes FM Jaitley "E-way bill to be rolled out on April 1" adding that "system to be implemented in phases; no decision on simplification of return filing. "GST Council fails to fix simpler filing process" writes The Asian Age. The DNA in an inset box says "Wait for easy filing" adding Jaitley's quote that the "GST Council failed to arrive at a consensus on simplification of tax return filing procedure for businesses. It extended filing of GSTR-3B and GSTR-1 returns till June.
In recent times with many fleeing the country with big bucks, the government has asked Public Sector Banks to build a database of borrowers with loans of over 50 crore rupees. India and Vietnam reinforcing their defence ties is prominently noticed by the papers. This morning's newspaper highlights have been taken from the websites of newspapers in the absence of print and online editions on account of Holi celebrations yesterday.
All the newspaper websites take note of the counting of votes for Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland Assembly Elections expected today. 
The Indian Express headline reads "Will people vote for change or status quo". The Hindu writes "Parties bank on pre-poll tie-ups". The Times of India says "NPF, allies choose Zeliang as CM candidate". The paper speculates this move to be an attempt to circumvent the possibility of BJP grabbing power in case of a hung assembly in Nagaland.
The death of 10 Maoists in an encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district is also widely reported. "10 Maoists, policeman killed in Chhattisgarh gun battle" headlines the Hindustan Times. "Mighty blow to Maoists in their stronghold" is how the Hindu describes it.
The breakthrough in journalist Gauri Lankesh's murder case is another story highlighted by most newspapers. The Times of India reports "Gauri killing: Man linked to right-wing outfit held in Bengaluru". The Hindustan Times headline reads "37-year-old man taken into custody by SIT for questioning in Gauri Lankesh murder case".
Quoting data from the Reserve Bank of India, the Times of India in a shocking revelation writes "Public sector banks lost Rs 2,450 crore to frauds involving staff". The paper says that the data collected by RBI from April 2013 to June 2016 shows that Rajasthan, which has just 3% of cases with employee involvement, accounts for 44% of money involved.
The Hindustan Times also reports that home and auto loans are set to get costlier as banks increase their benchmark lending rates.
"Antarctic sea ice shrinks for second straight year" reports the Hindustan Times.  The paper cautions that the sea ice cover in Antarctica has dropped to its second-lowest on record.

The prominent story in this morning's Press  - is of Approval by the Union Cabinet of Bills to tighten the noose around economic fugitives like Nirav Modi and Vijay Mallya. The Cabinet also cleared a proposal to set up the National Financial Reporting Authority, to regulate Charted Accountants.
A Delhi court, yesterday, allowing custodial interrogation of Karti Chidambaram for five days - to unearth the larger conspiracy in the INX media case - is also covered prominently on the front pages. The Indian Express headline reads, "Karti with CBI for five days, agency to confront him with papers and co-accused."
The Indian Express writes, "Govt sends out note: Very sensitive time for ties with China, so skip Dalai Lama events" adding that in an unusual departure from its stand on the Tibetans-in-exile, the government, underlining that this is a “very sensitive time” for bilateral relations with China, has sent out a note asking “senior leaders” and “government functionaries” of the Centre and states to stay away from events planned for March-end and early April by the “Tibetan leadership in India” to mark the start of 60 years in exile of the Dalai Lama.
Hindustan Times reports that Political parties in the three Northeastern states that went to the polls in February - Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland - are scrambling to strike possible alliances, ahead of counting day on Saturday.

The PNB fraud fallout continues to dominate headlines in most of the major dailies this morning. "PSBs given 15 days to prepare action plan to address risks" leads the Economic Times. While the Business Standard quotes the government as telling managing directors of public sector banks to "Check for fraud in NPAs above rupees 500 million". "Centre moves to set up a new regulator for CAs" says the Times of India, adding that "setting up of the National Financial Reporting Authority will be discussed by the Union Cabinet on Wednesday. "
In a related story the Business Line informs that "Nirav Modi's firestar diamond files for bankruptcy in the US".
The diplomatic snub by Maldives to India's invitation to participate in the eight day mega naval exercise is the other big story covered by the press. "Maldives says no to India's 'Milan' invite" notes the Tribune.
"Case closed Sridevi's funeral today" reads the caption above a photograph of an ambulance carrying Sridevi's body on a Mumbai road on Tuesday in the Hindustan Times.
Referring to the Bihar hit and run case the DNA writes, "Hit 'n' run case disrupts both houses in Bihar". While the Indian Express says  "After SUV ran over 9 kids, Bihar BJP leader got 24 stitches, fled."

Well, Hindustan Times reports that under the aegis of Ministry of Textiles, the National Institute of Fashion Technology New Delhi is undertaking a National sizing survey of India to develop an India size chart for ready to wear clothes based on the body measurements and specifications of Indians.
