On the campaign in Amethi, the Indian Express headlines "Modi takes battle to Gandhi den". The Hindu says, "Modi invokes Ram, EC seeks report", while The Asian Age quotes Priyanka as saying "Amethi won't forgive his insult to Rajiv".
The Hindustan Times writes "Snoopgate probe on hold, govt not to name judge", a day after two key UPA constituents publicly disapproved a Snoopgate inquiry in its "dying hours". Asian Age says Snoopgate probe left to next govt, while the Times of India headlines "Kamal Nath too opposes probe into Snoopgate".
"Noida Supertech towers won't be razed, for now" headlines the Hindustan Times, elaborating, SC halts demolition. Plan for 24 floors only. Express Newsline quotes the Supreme Court bench as saying the municipal authority would have to pay a hefty price if it was found to be colluding with the developer to approve an otherwise illegal plan.
In a bid to improve safety of women travelling on buses, the Delhi's Special of Asian Age report "200 DTC buses to get CCTVs" to keep vigil on every passenger.
