Russia annexes Crimea, suspended from G8

Vladimir Putin of Russia defying the west and signing a pact making Crimea a part of Russia, is among the lead stories this morning. "Russia annexes Crimea, suspended from G8" is the Pioneer headline. The Times of India writes that Putin has asked China and India for support - to beat the embargo.
The other major story is of the Henderson Brooks report, which was completed in 1963 after the China debacle, but which was never released on the ground that it contained classified details. Mail Today report that a large section of this report was recently posted by Australian Journalist Neville Maxwell in his blog.
Times of India writes that the first diversion the missing Malaysian Airlines plane made from its Kuala Lampur - Beijing route towards the west - was carried out through a computer system by someone  in the cockpit who knew the systems well. South Indian runways, among others, were found on the captain's home built simulator.
"Kejriwal's Power Sop Tripped by Fund Shock" is the top headline in the Mail Today. The Delhi Government yesterday told the High Court that it would not honour the Kejriwal government's decision to waive power dues of defaulters because funds required for the waiver - to the tune of 6,821 crore rupees, were not allocated in the budget!
US investment bank Goldman Sachs has upgraded Indian markets to 'overweight' from 'marketweight', saying India's risk reward looks favourable. News of the report sent the Sensex to a new lifetime high of over 22,000, according to the Indian Express.
And finally, Good news for lovers of desee Ghee and cheese. Times of India informs us that according to a research at the University of Cambridge, a dollop of ghee or butter in your diet does not cause as much harm to your heart as was believed till now.
