Lull in Telangana stir is not victory for Centre | | | The New Indian Express
The decision of the pro-Telangana government employees to return to work is indicative of the toll the agitation, with no immediate end in sight, is taking on the resolve and patience of its supporters. When a similar decision was taken by a section of road transport workers a few days ago, it was ascribed by the joint action committee to an official ploy to create divisions among the unions. While the charge may be true, the government’s recent decision to arrest a number of MPs, MLAs and other bigwigs, including K Chandrasekhara Rao’s son and daughter, must have also played a part in weakening the movement to some extent.
